Trout have finally turned on at Jocassee.

We were 14-14, 10 browns and 4 rainbows yesterday.  While the surface temp is rising into the mid and upper 60's it was 55 at 30 feet.  Most of our fish were between 25-40.

We had two nice flurries, with seven fish between 9 & 10:45 right before and during the rain and 7 more between 2 & 3:30.  We had brighter baits out, Lemon Drop Warrior Flutter was our top producer.  Most of the time we were in the big water, but the second flurry was at the mouth of the Toxaway.

While we did not have any hugh fish, but they are being caught.  Know of three over 8 caught in the last several days.

Congratulations to Matt on the series win and big fish.  Matt had the fish dialed in all season long.

We ended our Jocassee season catching the exact same number of trout as we did last year (61 in 14 trips) but we went from 23 keepers to 11 with all our 20+ inch fish caught in December (5).

Trout fishing should remain good for the next 6 weeks before they head deep with the warming water.

The Cabin Fever fished Thursday night through Saturday night. Roundhouse to dam, Thursday night. Fished dam and north side of big water Friday. Fished JOR and 3 rivers Saturday. lots of stockers. A few 15"'s bunch of Spots and one keeper 4.75 lb, Sat at 3 rivers area. 40ish fish in all. Great weekend to be on the lake, still looking for that 10#er. Tight Lines.
